SOCIAL MEDIA PLUG-INS AND FACEBOOK
Our Website uses social plugins (“plugins”) from the social networking site Instagram Facebook.com, operated by Meta Platforms, Inc. Facebook Inc., 1601 South California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (“InstagramFacebook”). The plugins can be identified by one of Facebook’s logos (a white “f” on a blue tile or a “thumbs-up” icon), or the phrase “Facebook Social Plugin”. The list of Facebook social plugins and their appearances can be found here: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/.

While visiting our website your browser will contact the Facebook server and load the visual presentation of the plugin as well as present it to you. During your visit Facebook receives information concerning your visit to our website as well as further data such as your IP address.

These activated plugins allow Facebook to know that you have visited this particular page on our website. If you are logged in to Facebook at the time, it can associate your visit to the page to your Facebook account. If you interact with the plugins, for example by clicking the ‘Like’ button or by posting a comment, the information you give is then sent directly to Facebook and saved there. If you do not have a Facebook account, it is still possible for Facebook to identify and store your IP address after you have clicked the Facebook note.

To find out more detail about Facebook’s data collection practices and your respective rights and privacy options, please see Facebook’s Data Protection Policy: https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/.

If you do not want Facebook to collect data about you from our website and connect it to your member data saved on Facebook, you must log out of Facebook before visiting our website and clicking the Facebook note.

MailJet Newsletter

MailJet Newsletter

This website uses the services of Mailjet for sending and analyzing newsletters. The newsletter contains news, offers, product tests, competitions and further information about our brand. MailJet SAS. is a simplified joint-stock company under French law ("Société par actions simplifiée"), registered in the Paris Commercial Register under number 524 536 992, with registered office at 13-13 bis, rue de l'Aubrac  – 75012 Paris. The parent company of MailJet is Mailgun Technologies, Inc, 112 E Pecan St. #1135, San Antonio, Texas 78205, United States of America.

If we have asked for your consent and you have given it, we will process your e-mail address in order to conduct e-mail marketing and, if necessary, other personal data in order to address you personally in the process. The legal basis for the processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

The automatic information processing is notified to the French Data Protection Authority CNIL (under the numbers 1527459 and 1527474) and will be updated if necessary.

With the help of Mailjet we can analyze our newsletter campaigns. We also use remarketing measures to show you’re the relevant online advertising. When you open an e-mail sent with Mailjet, a file contained in the e-mail (so-called web beacon) connects to Mailjet's servers exclusively in Europe with Google Cloud Platform in Frankfurt (Germany) and St. Ghislain (Belgium). In this way, it can be determined whether a newsletter message has been opened and which links have been clicked, if any. In addition, technical information is collected (for example time of retrieval, IP address, browser type and operating system). This information cannot be assigned to the respective newsletter recipient. They are used exclusively for the statistical analysis of newsletter campaigns. The results of these analyses can be used to better adapt future newsletters to the interests of the recipients.

If you do not want analysis by Mailjet, you must unsubscribe from the newsletter. For this purpose, we provide a corresponding link in every newsletter message. To withdraw your consent, you can use the link provided for this purpose in the emails or unsubscribe from the following link: https://www.vileda.ca/en_CA/newsletter-unsubscribe.

The data processing takes place on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a EU General Data Protection Regulation GDPR). You can revoke this consent at any time by unsubscribing from the newsletter. The legality of the data processing operations that have already taken place remains unaffected by the revocation.

The data stored by you for the purpose of subscribing to the newsletter will be stored by us until you unsubscribe from the newsletter and will be deleted from our servers as well as from the servers of Mailjet after unsubscribing from the newsletter. Data stored by us for other purposes remain unaffected by this.

For more information, please refer to Mailjet's privacy policy at: https://www.mailjet.de/privacy-policy/ and https://www.mailjet.com/gdpr

We have concluded a so-called "Data Processing Agreement" with MailJet, in which we oblige MailJet to protect the data of our customers and not to pass it on to third parties. Legal basis: Art. 6(1) a GDPR (consent).
